CelticMoon Craft - Selection of Celtic Mandalas

Irish wood craft painting with a difference...

This is but a small selection of the Celtic mandalas we have. Painted on blocks of wood approximately six inches tall by six inches wide, these vibrantly coloured wall hangings are individually hand painted and then further decorated with beads and other tactile embellishments. These designs and motifs, such as the traditional Celtic knotwork and spirals, are based on and adapted from the beautiful and inspiring Celtic illuminated manuscripts such as the Book of Kells and the Book of Durrow, evoking a calming yet uplifting meditative quality.

We are a small, rural-based company in the beautiful and rugged west of Ireland, producing traditional and unique hand-painted Celtic themed decorative wall hangings and plaques for your home.

All of the pieces displayed are painted on wood and then textured with jewelled and beaded effects along with other embellishments. This gives them a very tactile feel.
